One of the most fascinating wine regions in Germany is situated in the tri-border region between Germany, Luxembourg and France where the Saar meets the Mosel. Here in the region of the Saar where the most valued Riesling-Producers of the whole country are located in between gently curved hills, the story of the Riesling-Infused Ferdinand's Saar Dry Gin begins in 2013.
NOSE: Fragrant, natural notes of lavender and lemongrass, with a little bit of real citrus shortly following. Fresh juniper, lively though not at the forefront.
PALATE: Lemons, limes and thyme. Juniper at the centre, though once again it lets the surrounding flavours take the driver's seat. Warming notes of ginger.
FINISH: Long and full of fruit notes.
Saar Dry Gin will definitely stick in your mind for a long while afterwards.
