Tomintoul 10 Bottles Set

This small batch bottling of Tomintoul has been created by specially selecting Tomintoul aged in exceptional ex-bourbon American oak barrels, which are then married and finished in hand selected Caribbean rum barrels. This process of "finishing" creates a beautifully rich, complex and full-flavoured single malt. Fresh and bright with aromas of raspberry blossom, coconut oil. Parma violets and custard Danish. Layres of muscovado sugar, iced buns and cider toffee bound with lotus biscuits, nougat and coconut cream. And for the finish sweet butterscotch and chocolate enclairs fading into warming cake spice linger.
Nose: Vibrant malt and sweet florals are joined by buttery pastry and coconut husks.
Palate: Caramelised brown sugar, sweet cinnamon, and nutty nougat, with chocolate honeycomb and cakey spices gathering beneath.

A sweet and creamy Speyside single malt from Tomintoul that was initially matured in ex-bourbon barrels, before being finished in specially-selected Cognac casks. Aromas of chestnuts, lemon rind, blossom honey, amaretti biscuits and chamomile fill the nose, complemented by notes of choux pastry, Chantilly cream, butterscotch, sugared almonds, golden raisins, ginger and tobacco throughout the palate
Nose: Fruity with lemon and apple joined by notes of chestnut and liquorice.
Palate: Dried fruit, fresh apples, toffee, and almonds.

Merlot wine barrels from the Bordeaux region, France. This process of "finishing" creates a beautifully rich, complex and full-flavoured single malt. Aromatic notes of fruit blossom and summer berries mixed with cinnamon buns, acacia honey and candied peels. Sweet layers of Morello cherry jam, summer pudding and redcurrant jam cusioned with tabacco spices and cocoa powder. Cosy cake spices and cappuccino foam fading into almond fingers and toasted pecans.

A limited-edition 2005-vintage single malt from Tomintoul that was initially matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks, before being finished in Pedro Ximenez sherry butts from Fernando de Castilla in Andalucia, Spain. Aromas of prunes, treacle, toasted oak, dates and sweet spices fill the nose, complemented by notes of maple syrup, candied nuts, marmalade, salted caramel and chocolate ganache on the palate, with coffee, cinnamon, toffee, clove and dried figs lingering in the finish.

Nose: Fruity and spicy, with cinnamon, candied citrus peel, and raisins.
Palate: Rich fruitcake, with warm spices, gentle sweetness, and a touch of toasted hazelnuts.

A small batch single malt from Tomintoul that was initially matured in ex-bourbon barrels, before being finished in specially-selected Pinot Noir casks. Aromas of summer berries, red grapes, filo pastry, baking spices and salted caramel fill the nose, complemented by notes of strawberry, blackcurrant liquorice, glace cherries, flapjacks, tobacco and ginger biscuits throughout the palate.

Nose: Marzipan, oak, syrupy morellos, with hints of toasted coconut

Palate: Dark chocolate, soft vanilla, juicy blackberries, and pepper.

Indulgent berry fruits, bramble jam and dark chocolate cushioned with nutmeg and cherry liqueur. A wash of blackcurrants, blueberries and Black Forest gateau bound with cosy oak spices and mocha coffee.

Created this small batch bottling by specially selecting Tomintoul aged in exceptional ex-bourbon American oak barrels, which are then married & finished in hand selected White Port barriques from Portugal. Tangy stone fruits and lychees mingled with lemon drizzle cake, vanilla pod and ginger biscuits. Layers of apricot Danish, poached pears and tarte Tatin bound with black coffee, buttery malt and baking spices.

Aged in ex-bourbon casks, Tomintoul 16 Year Old is nice and punchy and medium bodied. Like many other Tomintoul expressions, the 16 years release has lots of barley sugars, vanilla, fudge and coffee flavours and aromas, with this one having the addition of some almond in the finish.
Nose: Medium-bodied and punchy. There are notes of stemmy cut hay and dried grasses, a leafy green note and a touch of rooty earth and fudge.
Palate: Notes of boiled sweets, espresso, mochaccino, ground almonds and granary toast with melted butter. Vanilla fudge and thick cream.

A limited release from Speyside's Tomintoul, this single malt was distilled in 2004 and finished in Sauternes wine casks. The result is a gloriously silky, vinous 16 year old single malt, showing off the fabulous adaptability of Tomintoul's spirit when it comes to cask influence. A total of 5,094 bottles was released.
Nose: Sweet toffee notes and squishy sultanas, earthy oak, and dried hay.
Palate: Sweet grapes and jammy berries, a touch of floral grass, oaken spice, cakey vanilla, and sweet nutmeg.

Released in mid-2017, this 21 year old single malt from the Tomintoul distillery in Speyside is matured exclusively in bourbon casks, which helps bring out the vanilla-y notes from "the Gentle Dram".
Nose: Rich oak and earthy vanilla pod, with a waft of citrus blossom.
Palate: Creamy malt, butterscotch and a tiny pinch of white pepper warmth.
