A small batch single malt from Tomintoul that was initially matured in ex-bourbon barrels, before being finished in specially-selected Pinot Noir casks. Aromas of summer berries, red grapes, filo pastry, baking spices and salted caramel fill the nose, complemented by notes of strawberry, blackcurrant liquorice, glace cherries, flapjacks, tobacco and ginger biscuits throughout the palate.
Nose: Marzipan, oak, syrupy morellos, with hints of toasted coconut
Palate: Dark chocolate, soft vanilla, juicy blackberries, and pepper.
